UU 201:Ethics for Unitarian Universalists, is a new course sponsored by the Adult Religious Education Team (ARET) that addresses the question “How do Unitarian Universalists deal with ethical and moral dilemmas in the absence of religious orthodoxy or holy books?”
This course is based on UUA’s A Tapestry of Faith Program for Adults, and is designed to introduce the philosophical framework of eight different schools of ethical thought as a way to engage participants in exploring and expanding their understanding of ethics and morality. The in-person course consists of twenty 60-minute workshops presented as a full series at the Jacksonville Campus and Fernandina via Zoom. Each workshop is introduced over two Sundays each month beginning September 11, 2022, 12:30 – 1:30 p.m., and ending with a program evaluation June 18, 2023.
