Labor Day is September 1 this year. Our annual church wide clean up (Labor of Love) is scheduled for Sunday August 31. We will be starting early to beat the heat! We will be beginning at 8 am and working until 11. Pizza and cold drinks will be provided for lunch. Bringing something to share is appreciated.

Both indoor and outdoor tasks have been identified. We will find a task that matches your skill set!

Here is the list of tasks:

Cleaning

1. Wash doors to remove adhesive residue, dirt, and mildew.
2. Wash windows indoors and outside along the breezeways and chapel
3. Power wash exterior windows that cannot be easily reached.
4. Billboards: vacuum debris, clean windows, update materials.
5. Remove insect debris from breezeway ceilings and light fixtures.
6. Discard rotten wood under the deck.
7. Move usable lumber to a dry location.

Room improvements

1. Remove unused items: donate, recycle, or discard
2. Rearrange furniture

Social Hall

1. Move items from cabinets and store in another location (needed to install new cabinets).

Electrical

1. Replace lightbulbs with LED bulbs
2. Remove unused electrical mounts and fixtures
3. Replace door lock batteries

Miscellaneous to be done at a later date

1. Repair or replace light sensor in main breezeway
2. Repair or replace lights and sensors near playground
3. Install computer for volunteers in office
4. Repair and install phones in office
5. Painting
6. Office – secretary room, office
7. Outside areas as needed – TBD
8. Clean tool rooms
9. Varnish doors
10. Repair or replace toilet fans
11. Tighten door knobs
12. Replace library lock and/or install door handle.
13. Tighten hardware on cabinets as needed in all rooms.
14. Signage – Order door plaques for all classrooms, chapel, social hall, and restrooms.
