This curriculum was developed by Rev. Dr. Richard Gilbert, minister emeritus of the First Unitarian Church of Rochester, NY, who claims that “religion is that core of ultimate meaning, values, and convictions out of which we live our lives….theology is the intellectual process of analyzing, clarifying, criticizing, articulating, and symbolizing those values, meanings, and convictions that grow out of experience.”
Topics included will be personal religious odyssey, liberal religious experience, ultimate reality, human nature, ethics, and personal credo. It will be helpful to attend all sessions but everyone is welcome to attend as many as possible.
