Congregational Meeting
April 21, 2024
The Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) has proposed comprehensive amendments to its Bylaws, specifically Article 2, which will be presented to the 2024 General Assembly delegates, on June 20 – 23, 2024 for a final vote to adopt the proposed amendments to Article 2. For the amended Article 2 to be adopted by UUA and have an impact on UUCJ, two-thirds (2/3) of the UUA’s General Assembly (GA) delegates must vote in the affirmative.
On Sunday, April 21, 2024, a Congregational Meeting has been scheduled for 12:30 PM for UUCJ members to cast their secret ballot, voting to approve or reject the proposed amendments to Article 2 of the UUA Bylaws, and instructing the UUCJ delegates to GA to represent UUCJ’s congregation’s majority vote. Congregation members who are unable to attend the Congregational Meeting will have an opportunity to submit absentee ballots.
