Walk the Labyrinth this Sunday with Kathleen Renee leading us as we celebrate the Fall Equinox (which is official on the 23rd). We will meet at 10 a.m. on Sunday, the 22nd, and hold good intentions for our journey through the last part of 2019. All are welcome.

Thursday, September 12th, from 6:00pm – 7:00pm, UUCJ will host the annual L’Arche Dance for adults with disabilities. UUCJ will supply light “healthy” snacks and desserts, such as 1/2 banana, grapes, sliced apples, popcorn, cheese, crackers, pretzels, crystal light, etc. All the participants will have eaten supper before they arrive. Come have fun with the dancers and with the live DJ. Stetson Cooper is a UU that just moved to Jacksonville for graduate school. He wants to attend our church, but doesn’t have transportation. He posted a request to our Facebook group, asking if anyone (particularly, UNF students) would carpool with him — he’d be willing to chip in for gas! Kelly Racine is a social worker with Community Hospice and a spiritual director. She lived in community with Covenant House and helped to start a program in Honduras where she lived for 6 years. She and her husband, Peter, adopted their daughter there. She continues to listen and learn through her daily practices how to live a life of ‘both/and.’
UUCJ has just received notice that the Florida Department of Transportation will begin work on an Arlington Expressway sidewalk improvement project, starting on or around August 26th. UUCJ is in the area that will be impacted by the project. There will be detours for Eastbound traffic, although Westbound traffic will not be impacted. This project is projected to be completed in fall of 2020. Click here for more information.
The UUCJ Craft Fair will be held on Sunday, November 10th, 2019 from 10am – 2pm.
There will be 12 inside spaces and 6 outside spaces available.
Tables and chairs will be furnished for inside spaces and on an “as available” basis for outside spaces
- Inside table: Church members – $25 Non Members – $45
- Outside space: Church members – $20 Non Members – $40

Vendors selling plants or produce are asked to reserve an outside space
Vendor applications are available via download (click here) or at the church office. Applications will be confirmed by email. After receipt of the application and payment vendors will have their choice of location. This is on a first come, first served basis. Location assignments are only available through the craft fair chair.
