Professor emerita from Jacksonville University where she taught the western humanities and several world cultures.  She serves as choir director for our church and member of the UU Musicians Network. Her website,, gives away music for small choirs.

Popcorn Theology: Hidden Figures

Rt. Rev. Laurie Denman is the 3rd Degree Arch Priestess and Temple Keeper for the Chosen Path Church, a full Temple of the Correllian Nativist Church. She is an attuned Reiki Master and instructor as well as a Correllian Shaman. She is a charter member of the Northeast Florida Pagan Leadership Coalition. Qigong After Church Service

Special Collection for June – UUCJ Foundation

Our special collection last month brought in a total of $1552 for our Endowment Fund. This gift will keep on giving to the church in years to come. Our Endowment Fund donates 4% of its assets, which are approaching $500,000, back to UUCJ each year to be used as our Board of Trustees directs. Thank you for your generosity.

Fa’Osunkemi was initiated to Ifa in 2015. In 1994, she was initiated to the Yoruba Divinity Osun. She is also known as Ok Sun Burks. Married and mother of two adult children, Fa’Osunkemi is a business manager and entrepreneur. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, has been employed with a number of fortune 500 firms and has owned and managed many businesses.
