Join us for this enlightening and community building time together.

Childcare is provided if requested by Nov. 17. Light lunch will be served!  Please register onlineuucj.org/grow – or contact Lois Hoeft at lbhjax2@comcast.net.

Bequest Club Update

In preparation for the UUCJ  Foundation annual meeting, we updated and are checking our Bequest Club list. This list contains the names of the generous dedicated members who have included gifts to UUCJ in their estate plan.

Previous donor’s gifts are an important part of the Church’s financial well-being.

Please check the list over and let us know if any names are missing.

Also if you are interested in finding out about ways to include UUCJ or UUCJ Endowment in your estate plan just give one of the Foundation Board members a call.

Thanks, Lynn Shad

Deeper than The Skin

Barbara Robinson is unable to stay for the service this Sunday, but will be selling concert tickets outside the Chapel before the service. $15 for adults, $10 for children in advance, cash or check made out to UUCJ.

Choir Rehearsal and Potluck

Members of the choir are invited to go to the Social Hall during the last hymn this coming Sunday.  Partake of the potluck offerings, enjoy socializing, and return to the chapel by 12:45 and we can still have some useful time for a rehearsal.

Guest at Your Table

As we begin our six-week campaign for Guest At Your Table, please help Jennifer with our bookkeeping and make all checks to UUCJ. Add UUSC to the memo line. Do this for any donations to the envelopes, chocolates, or greeting cards. Thanks!

Caring Candles

Buck Plaster suffered a mild stroke on November 11, 2017 and was admitted to Mayo hospital.  He expects to be transferred this week to Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital on University Boulevard.  Buck and Sallie are very grateful for all the good wishes expressed in the many cards and calls they have received.

Terri Brown Neal has been hospitalized several times recently at Memorial Hospital.  She had more tests this week and was hoping to be discharged on November 14, 2017.    She said that she wants to thank everyone for their loving concern.

Mission Funding Update

The Mission & Funding Team reports that 151 Financial Commitments have been completed bringing our 2018 total to $238,501.20.

We are optimistic that the 20 or so outstanding Financial Commitments will be made very soon and this can be done by filling out a Financial Commitment Form or contacting Jennifer Riley at the church (904-725-8133).

We are grateful for our church community and the pledges we have received that further the success of the many missions of our church.

Memorial for Carolyn Maddox

There will be a small intimate Memorial Service for Carolyn Maddox on Friday, Nov 17th at 3pm here at the church. There will be no reception following.
