We have three beautiful church cats in our cat colony who need to be fed on Monday and Friday evenings. These two slots are open, and you can feed them at your convenience. Contact Donna Janesky if you are interested. Cat food can be provided.

National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC) : How to Make Your Vote Really Count

Step out for the evening on Monday, November 12th to find out about the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC) and how it will ensure the presidential candidate with the most votes will be the one sworn into office!

But, it takes states whose electoral votes total 270 or more to put the NPVIC into effect.

Weekday Bookclub Upcoming Selections

The selection for Monday, November 5th: Elizabeth Cobbs — The Hello Girls: America’s First Women Soldiers ( 940.4173082). Additionally, we will chose our selections for next year. The selection for December 3rd is Lisa Wingate — Before We Were Yours (fiction) — Two families, generations apart, are forever changed by a heartbreaking injustice.

NOTE: Library availability is limited, so put your name on the hold list as soon as possible. We meet at at Books-a-Million on Atlantic Boulevard from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. All are welcome.

Caring Candles

Jack Rohal, son of Meg Rohal, is recuperating from surgery for a ruptured appendix.  Best wishes Jack for a speedy recovery.

Scotty Thornton has moved to a new location within the community of Fleet Landing. Her new address is: 1 Fleet Landing Boulevard, Leeward #778, Atlantic Beach FL 32233. Her phone number is the same: (904) 249-5055. She is doing well in assisted living and would love cards.

We have been missing Mary Claire! She would love to come to church, but driving is not so easy for her these days. If anyone lives on the north side, please consider giving Mary Claire Van der Horst a ride to church. She lives on Trout River Boulevard.
