New Normal Team Update

Until further notice, Sunday Service will be broadcast from the chapel. Members should watch the service from home and not come to the church.

The number of daily new COVID 19 cases in the Jacksonville area has increased by 400% over 2 weeks to over 25 / 100,000. These numbers create a very high risk of infection.

The new Omicron variant is much more contagious than previous strains. The best protection against COVID-19 infection is still vaccination, but even vaccinated persons can get breakthrough infections and infect other people. Infections with the Omicron variant are less severe than other variants, but unvaccinated persons still have a higher rate of serious infection, hospitalization and death.

Because of the surge in infections, the New Normal Team recommends that in-person services and other activities be discontinued until the number of new daily cases has decreased to less than 10 /100,000. These recommendations are based on the risk to vaccinated and unvaccinated persons but also considers the members of the congregation with high risk medical conditions.

Again, Sunday Service will be broadcast from the chapel. Members should watch the service from home and not come to the church.
