Social Justice Opportunities

Social justice is at the core of who we are and what we do. But it has been a challenge over the past year and a half to reach out and help people in our own community that have significant needs. If you are looking for ways you might be able to be involved, here are just a few of the UUCJ opportunities that you can consider:

RIVER CITY PRIDE PARADE

The parade will be held on Saturday, October 2nd beginning at 2pm, starting at Willowbranch

Park on Park St. & Cherry St. and ending at Riverside Park (1.5 mi.) If members/friends are

interested in participating, please contact Teri Mitchell at .

ARLINGTON COMMUNITY SERVICES

UUCJ has had a terrific response to the needs at ACS. We continue taking donations weekly

to help support our Arlington neighbors. Watch for updates in the E-Blast. Any questions can be directed to Carlos Fraticelli at

ICARE

Continuing support for the ICARE community is always appreciated. The yearly work is ongoing and a significant level of participation is part of ICARE’s strength. House meetings will soon be announced to begin the New Year. Any questions about becoming involved can be directed to Lois Hoeft at

SPECIAL COLLECTIONS

UUCJ sponsors various groups and coalitions throughout the year that are making a difference in our community. Many of these groups send representatives to our services to explain and highlight their work. They all deserve our support and attention. If you have any questions about any of our Special Collection groups, contact Meg Rohal at .
