UUCJ Birthdays

New Normal Team Udpate

OVID-19 cases have increased significantly in Northeast Florida in recent weeks, making current activities at UUCJ more dangerous and jeopardizing plans to resume in-person services in September. The major reasons for the increase are the large number of unvaccinated people in the community and failure to take precautions such as wearing masks, practicing social distancing, and avoiding crowded indoor activities. Special Collection: St. Johns Riverkeeper

Our Special Collection on Sunday, July 18 will be for the St. Johns Riverkeeper Organization whose vision is a thriving St. Johns River Watershed that sustains healthy ecosystems for future generations. The St. Johns Riverkeeper is  a privately funded, independent and trusted voice for the St. Johns River and the public to which it belongs. We are honored to have as our guest speaker, Lisa Rinaman who serves as the St. Johns Riverkeeper.   A drop down box is available on the giving page…

UUMUAC Monthly Third Wednesday Worship Service

Starts July 21 – 8:00 pm EST The Religious Professionals Task Force of the Unitarian Universalist Multiracial Unity Action Council is sponsoring “Third Wednesday” evening worship services on the third Wednesday of each month, beginning July 21. Opportunity for Community! Triennial Survey Results

Ready to reconvene? We have been apart for far too long. Zoom has been great and we will continue with hybrid services and some meetings. Many of us have been vaccinated, but some of us are not able to be vaccinated so we will continue to wear masks while on campus when we return in September. Arlington Community Services Update

Keeping Helping Our Arlington Neighborhood While we surpassed our goal, we know we can donate over 7,000 lbs. of groceries. ACS is so very thankful for all of your monetary and food donations in June. So many more of our neighbors need rent and JEA assistance! We were blessed to feed 156 clients, 34 homeless, and helped 15 with rent/JEA. UUCJ COVID-19 Guidelines

UUCJ COVID-19 Guideline 063021 The New Normal Team has tried to create reopening guidelines that provide safety for members and are as inclusive as possible.  Local and State government guidelines tend to focus on reopening the economy and get back to usual activities.  CDC guidelines focus on safe ways to limit the spread of COVID-19 infections.  UUA guidelines focus on maximum safety and not excluding vulnerable members of the congregation.
