Mary Louise Weber, Director of ACS, indicates that ACS has been richly blessed by donations of food, masks, gift cards, and monetary donations this last month. ACS is currently open Tuesday – Friday, 9-12. In April, ACS fed 114 families and 20 homeless.
UUCJ donated 192 lbs. of groceries in April and 77 lbs. for the first week of May (this includes 59 lbs. from harvested from Arlington Community Garden by Nichole King during April). This total may not be complete because it may not include some UUCJ members and friends who are dropping off their food donations. With UUCJ’s continued support, ACS will be able to continue to serve Arlington Community in May.
ACS’s needs are: canned peas, corn, soup, canned meats, canned tomatoes, canned potatoes, gravy, dry milk, mac & cheese, Hamburger Helper, pasta and rice sides, Jiffy Cornbread Mix, peanut butter, jelly, laundry detergent, and toilet paper.
