The Shelves Are Getting Bare at Arlington Community Services

On February 3, Mary Louise Weber, ACS Executive Director, thanked all donor organizations for the January donations. She indicated the Arlington Community shelves are getting bare. ACS is grateful for the holiday food drives, but our neighbors need food in all seasons. Arlington Community Services fed 340 clients, 24 homeless, and assisted 13 clients with rent/JEA.

Their current needs are:  canned tuna, canned chicken, canned meat, canned tomatoes, dry potatoes, Hamburger Helper, pasta sides, rice sides, rice, peanut butter, jelly, pasta sauce, crackers, snacks, laundry detergent, and gently used children’s books. We are so grateful for all you do!

UUCJ has donated 305 pounds to date. As Mary Louise indicated, the shelves are bare.  I helped unload large size donation from local Church in December, and we had to store boxes on the floor.  Please do what you can Sunday. Here is a link to photos of Arlington Community Services shelves and our own Linda Leon, who volunteers on Wednesday: https://photos.app.goo.gl/YNkV5oBiiqNhUCZ36 .
