Henson Markham, UUCJ member and former music director, passed away on December 24, 2020 in Columbus, Georgia surrounded by his family. He was a past President of the Friday Musicale and the founder and director of the Chamber Music Society of the Church of the Good Shepherd. He had a career in the music publishing industry in New York City. Henson also served in the Army as a chaplain’s assistant. A memorial service celebrating Henson’s life is planned for Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 2:00 pm at UUCJ, followed by a reception in the social hall. UCJ members and friends are invited to assist in the set-up and clean-up for the reception. Our sincere condolences go out to Henson’s son, Brian Markham, and his family.
Sallie Pickard and Buck Plaster are happy to report that their daughter, Ehren Black, successfully underwent surgery for a recurring brain tumor. She is now at Brooks Rehabilitation on University and Beach for an unspecified time. Please keep sending her your happy thoughts. Candy Rue’s former husband, Neal Rue, passed away on December 25, 2019. They have two children, Danny and Emily. Neal was a very talented photographer. A family gathering is planned for Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 3:00PM. Our sincere sympathy goes out to Candy and her family.
