Special Collection Aug 18: Jacksonville Arboretum

A 120 acre urban woodland filled with trails, walkways, birds, wildlife and plants the Jacksonville Arboretum is a stunning example of the preservation of natures gifts. The Arboretum is managed through a volunteer board and receives no money from the city. Open 365 days without an admission fee, the Arboretum depends on the generosity of donors and members. Our speakers today will be Lad and Mindy Hawkins, long time members of UUCJ. Instrumental in the founding of the Arboretum, they will be available after the service to give additional information on ways we can support this wonderful organization by becoming members or volunteering and your generous donations. More information is available at www.jacksonvillearboretum.org.
